I’ve often said 1% extra effort, done enough times will give us a 100% improvement in our results. Extra effort can be the key to overall improvement for a successful lifestyle, relationship or business venture.
This past week, I read The Compound Effect by Darren Hardy, which reinforced that belief for me. Adam Contos the SVP of Marketing at RE/MAX Corporate, recommended the book via Facebook after he spent 3 days in Darren Hardy’s Ignite program.
The compound effect
The Compound Effect is a simple, step by step guide that is committed to helping you obtain success in every aspect of your life, whether you want to focus on personal relationships, spirituality, physical goals, or business. Essentially, The Compound Effect is about making good choices, setting up routines for success, and focusing on what works instead of what doesn’t.
Here’s an example of how to use the steps of The Compound Effect in your daily life. Ask yourself the following question:
Consider your strengths – how could you improve those skills to better achieve your goals?
The beauty of this program is that it is accessible for anyone who wants to follow the path of success, both in their professional and personal lives. It’s not about amazing talent or having the right genes. It’s not even about working so hard we run ourselves into the ground.
It’s simple. By following Darren Hardy’s steps from The Compound Effect, you can multiply your success and chart your achievements in both your career and personal life.
This is a great time for reflecting on the past year and starting to plan improvements for the future.
This book is a great place to start the process. Here’s the link if you’d like to pick up a copy for yourself. The Compound Effect at Amazon.ca, click here.
